Counselling Supervision

I have been practising as a Supervisor since 2016, following undertaking appropriate training, as well as having gained a Reflective Therapeutic Practice Degree. I bring to the role extensive experience working  as a counsellor since 2007; predominately with children and young people but also families and adults. I have experience of working in the Charitable sector for Relate, Place 2 Be and YMCA as well as a smaller local hospice and women's charity and private practice. My counselling experience includes working in schools and currently involves me counselling and supervising in community settings.

 

I believe that the supervisory relationship is key and will always seek to work from a place where that is developed. Together seeking to develop a place where the supervisee is able to work in such a way that their supervisory needs are met....where it is ok to bring both the easy and challenging aspects of yourself and practice. A place where knowledge sharing; holding and challenge are all present.

 

I believe that supervision can be useful to many and would be pleased to hear from anyone who would like to explore the options and opportunities available regardless of whether they necessarily fit into the traditional box for those that access such opportunities. This maybe individuals employed in caring or support or those who provide such services to family or friends...such as those parenting or looking after loved ones of any age or stage in their lives.
